Feb 7 - Get machines back together. How many spare screws did you have? Add functions & importance of the components to your
table. Assignment sheet. (hand-in completed lab today!) Hand in complete Parts of the Computer Lab - Remember to clearly
describe the importance of each item (why is it needed) Avoid words like 'connects everything' (give examples of the
everything).
Feb 6- Taking apart the computer continued. Label the internal components and describe why each are important to the
functioning of the computer. Assignment sheet. (hand-in completed lab Fri Feb 7th) Check out the following activity to

- What are the health concerns associated with the burial (landfill) or recycling of e-waste?
- Where can we take our electronic waste, in the Municipality of Kincardine and what can we take there?
- How can we all help to reduce e-waste?

- List five (5) standards that must be met to meet the Electronics Recycling Standard.
- How can computers actually reduce the amount of pollution? Example: how much paper is saved in this class, because you email your work in to me? Is this the fairest way to measure pollution?
- How much pollution is saved if you bought an ebook reader? How many books would you have to read on it to at least be neutral?
